Food for thought

This week I went to Terry & Jo’s Food for Thought. It is conveniently located on Speight and 12th, so about four blocks from campus. This is a great place to grab a healthy snack and they even have a few groceries you can purchase when you first walk in.
The menu is very diverse and you can choose from a variety of different types of foods, from Mexican to Italian. There is a good amount of vegetarian variety as well, which leaves you with a lot of choices of what to order. They also have delicious smoothies, which are a bit over priced but well worth it on a hot day.
I decided to try Eden’s Best which is a sandwich that consists of tomato, avocado and cucumber with melted Monterrey jack cheese on a wheat bun. My friend I came with ordered a cheese pizza, which is another one of their vegetarian options.
It was very refreshing but quite difficult to eat. The cheese gave it some flavoring, and the vegetables were all cut into small slices which were hard to keep into the sandwich. It also came with a side of blue corn tortilla chips and salsa. I ended up dipping the sandwich into the salsa for more flavor, because just the vegetables were not enough for me.

Due to convenience, this is a great restaurant to try. The prices are average, and the food is decent.
